M25 MOTORWAY-JUNCTION 17 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice ID: MF0504072

Notice effective from
16th August 2019 to 15th September 2019

M25 MOTORWAY – JUNCTION 17 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway in the Counties of Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the phased closure of all the slip roads at M25 Junction 17 (A405).
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors working on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council undertake maintenance and survey works.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 3 weeks, a slip at a time, starting on or after Monday 9th September 2019. The closures would take place between 22:00 and 05:00 hours (maximum period).
The Order would come into force on 7 September 2019 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using other junctions on the M25, and by using the M40, A404, A405, and A412. The diversion in operation would vary according to the closure in force. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
