Sir, The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is calling for Bicester residents to become Heart Heroes and use some of their spare time to volunteer for the nation’s heart charity.

We are always on the lookout for more volunteers to join the fight against heart disease. You can get involved in a number of ways including becoming a volunteer driver, merchandising clothes, shoes and accessories to window-dressing, working behind the till, and administration work. We are keen to hear from anyone who has a few hours to spare.

Volunteering with the BHF for just half a day a month could fund one of our scientists to carry out life-saving research for a whole hour – but giving your time doesn’t just benefit the BHF. Volunteering offers a great way to meet new people, use your existing skills, boost your CV and help in the hunt for a new job.

Our volunteers are at the heart of the charity and We simply wouldn’t be able to continue our life-saving work without volunteers.

To find your nearest BHF store call 0800 915 1111 and for more information on volunteering opportunities visit bhf.org.uk/volunteer
