SIR, The traffic was awful along Kings Avenue, Bicester, on Boxing Day.

The car drivers moved the cones to create a bigger gap for them to park between. I rang Miranda Markham, of Bicester Village, and told her what the situation was. She promised to have a word with her security people.

Within an hour their chief security officer called at my home to see the problem for himself.

Friday morning there were far more cones put out and they had designated one of their security people to remain here nearly all day. This had a tremendous effect as we didn’t have anyone parking along Kings Avenue.

I have been a campaigner against the traffic for a long time now and have had many meetings with Miranda Markham on this subject and I have to commend her for acting so promptly and sorting out this problem.

I have slated the traffic problems over the years but I would like to say this year Miranda has been superb in listening to me and found a solution.

Thank you Miranda.
