Big incentive for Welsh to stay up

London Welsh have an added incentive to maintain their Aviva Premiership status.

The league is to be televised exclusively on BT from next season, in a £152m deal.

The four-year contract will see BSkyB and ESPN, who split coverage of matches, replaced as the only platform on which to watch top-flight English club rugby.

“This is a game-changing agreement,” said Mark McCafferty, chief executive of Premiership Rugby.
