RUGBY UNION: Henley in close call

Henley Hawks pushed higher league opponents Rosslyn Park all the way before going down 39-38 in a friendly at Dry Leas.

The pacey Liam O’Neill bagged a brace of tries for Henley, who led 17-15 and then trailed 39-17.

Robbie Stapley, Xavier Andre, Simon Perry and a penalty try completed Hawks’ tally, with James Comben and Ed Yarnton kicking two conversions apiece.

Henley gave debuts to former Oxford Harlequins wing Martin Nutt and prop Sam Steventon.
