CENTRES Jamel Hamilton and Alex Dancer have become Chinnor’s latest recruits.

The National League 2 South side have looked to strengthen their options after losing the services of Junior Fatialofa and Bevon Armitage.

Former Cornish Pirates centre Dancer, 26, rejoins Chinnor having played two games while on loan in 2015.

Director of rugby Matt Williams said: “I’m delighted Alex has chosen to join us. “He is one of the best ball carrying centre’s in the Championship and I’m really excited to see him team up with Danny (Barnes). “When losing a legend like Fats (Junior Fatialofa) to retirement and Bevon Armitage to Devon I needed to make a statement of intent. This is it.”

Former Northampton Saints Academy player Hamilton, 19, signs from Leicester Lions.

Williams said: “Jamel’s footwork and ball skills are impressive.

“He will learn a lot from the likes of Jonny Bentley and Danny Barnes.”

FORMER Abingdon School pupil Theo Brophy-Clews starts at inside centre as England bid to reach the semi-finals of the U20 World Championships when they face Australia today.
