SECOND-PLACED Bicester are primed for a potential title-decider when they take on league leaders Marlow at home on Saturday.

Four points separate the sides in Southern Counties North ahead of the clash at Oxford Road, with the north Oxfordshire side hoping to leapfrog their visitors.

It could prove to be a crucial weekend, with only three games remaining to decide the one automatic promotion spot from the seventh tier of English rugby.

The runner-up will face the side who finish second in Southern Counties South in a play-off.

Bicester head into the clash on the back of a bonus-point 40-26 victory at High Wycombe.

Tevita Naleca ran in a hat-trick of tries as they overturned a 12-point half-time deficit.

Matt Dye, Christian Mann and and Ryan Gallagher also went over as Bicester earned their ninth four-try bonus point of the season.

Two Cameron Baker penalties had put Wycombe 6-0 ahead, before Naleca scorched over the line for Bicester.

Dan Spencer added the extras.

A further six points from the boot of Baker and Zachary Gregory’s converted try made it 19-7 to the hosts, leaving Bicester with work to do.

However, after the break the title-chasers stepped up a gear with Dye and Naleca, the first converted, going over for tries to level the match at 19-19.

The visitors had their tales up and Mann crossed, before Naleca completed his hat-trick and Gallagher drove over to add to Bicester’s tally.

Miles converted all three to make it 40-19.

Wycombe had the last say with Gregory ploughing across.

But Bicester had done more than enough to secure their 16th win in 19 matches.
