OXFORD University’s Nic Roberts-Huntley admits he has been distracted in lectures ahead of next week’s Varsity Match.

The Dark Blues face Cambridge University at Twickenham on December 8, bidding for a seventh successive win.

Back-row forward Roberts-Huntley is set to be named in Oxford’s 23-man squad today.

And the 26-year-old, who is studying an MBA at Green Templeton College, says it has been difficult to focus on anything but rugby over the last few weeks.

He said: “Concentration in lectures has started to wane and you suddenly find yourself watching the games back on YouTube.

“This end of Michaelmas (first academic) term is absolutely about the Varsity Match and other things tend to just slip back into the shadows.”

Roberts-Huntley added: “You do start to think about your process, your line-outs, particularly as a forward.

“I imagine the backs are always thinking about whatever they do out there, but it does weigh on the mind.”
