Tom Miles missed a late penalty as Bicester fell just short in a 12-10 defeat at Buckingham in Southern Counties North.
The hosts quickly went ahead when winger James Hulston crossed in the corner.
Full back Jack Deal added the extras.
Buckingham opened the second half with an unconverted try as a catch and drive resulted in second row forward Ewan Prime going over.
Bicester inside-centre Miles slotted a penalty, before Gareth Evans was driven over 12 minutes from time.
Miles converted leaving Bicester two points short, but he was unable to add what would have been a matchwinning penalty late on.
Alchester conceded seven tries as they were hammered 44-0 by Gosford All Blacks in the BB&O Premier.
It took eight minutes for Gosford to open the scoring.
with Ben Bodinham driving over for an unconverted try, before Dan Hughes dotted down to make it 10-0.
Converted tries from Miles Johnson and Hughes, as well as a Tim Ellis penalty saw them lead 27-0 at the break.
Two Liam Beesley tries added to Alchester’s misery and Harry Sutton crossed for the seventh try, with Ellis adding the extras.
