Chinnor conceded eight tries as they suffered a 50-14 defeat at home to Old Albanians in National 2 South on Saturday.

Albanians took a 17-0 lead in the first 15 minutes with tries from flanker Harry Bate (2) and winger Jimmy Speirs, plus a conversion from Max Malins to make 17-0 after 15 minutes.

Chinnor, suffering their seventh loss in as many games, replied when winger George Blewitt danced his way through the visitors defence, Will Millett converting.

Just before half-time, pacy full back Matt Gallagher scythed through the Chinnor defence to score a try converted by Malins to make it 24-7 After the break, the visitors scored at regular intervals through Malins, former Chinnor player Morgan Thompson, Billy Johnson and a pushover try from Sam Lunnon. Malins added three conversions.

With the last play, Jack Adams broke through midfield for Chinnor’s second try, converted by Millett.

Henley Hawks slumped to a 46-0 defeat at home to National League 1 leaders Hartpury College in literally a game of two halves.

At half-time, Henley trailed only 3-0 to an early penalty kicked by Gareth Thompson.

Fielding fly half Will Robinson and winger Alan Awcock, who had been released by London Welsh shortly before the match, Hawks were causing the leaders problems.

However, in the second half, left wing Mikacius Jonas scored four tries for Hartpury as Hawks’ defence collapsed.

Further tries followed from Negri Da Oleggio, Tim Brockett and George Boulton. Thompson added four conversions
