It was literally a game of two halves when Abingdon drew 15-15 away to Slough in the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier Division.

Abingdon took a 15-0 interval lead thanks to tries from winger Benny Davies and centre Luke Matthews, with full back Mark Roberts adding a conversion and a penalty.

It was a different story in the second with Slough scoring 15 points to secure a draw.

Harwell prevailed 16-7 in their Championship derby clash at home to Faringdon.

Jordan Morrison and Andy Strickland went over for Harwell’s tries, while Mike Phillips added two penalties.

Didcot were awarded a walkover, when Aldermaston could not raise a full side.

The game went ahead as a friendly and Didcot came out victorious 48-7.

Justin Sammüller scored a hat-trick of tries with Craig Phillips, Chris Freeman, Alex Cleminson, Ben McLoughlin and Jon Cox all picking one up.

Freeman added three conversions and Sammüller another.
