SOUTHERN COUNTIES NORTH
A POROUS defensive effort cost Wallingford dearly as they slipped to a 43-19 defeat at home to Drifters.
Drifters dominated the first half, scoring five unanswered tries to leave Wallingford too much of a mountain to climb.
The hosts gained some consolation after the break, with replacement Mario Da Silva bagging a try double.
Lock Carl Tappin also scored, while wing Ben Selwood converted two.
Rob Willis and Alex Rankin ran in try doubles for Drifters, with George Kempster, Josh White, and Steve Spencer also going over.
Olly Ashton kicked three conversions and Willis one, while Stuart Bullimore was sin-binned.
