This is an extra match added to the league season for promotional reasons. Welsh will still play 11 home and away games after this and hopefully be involved in the play-offs
Such was the short turnaround between the first and second matches, that Welsh and Bedford had to begin their warm-ups on a random piece of grass at the back of the ground.

London Welsh open their campaign against Bedford Blues in the second match of a double-header at Saracens' home ground. Kick-off is a 3.15pm, with the Exiles facing a tough opener against last season's Championship runners-up.
