OXFORD Harlequins could not recover from a poor first half as they lost 29-12 at home to Brixham.
Quins, who trailed 24-0 in the first half, remain second from bottom and 16 points from safety.
Brixham took the lead on nine minutes when No 8 Jarryd Harris dummied his way over for fly half Ben Lovell to convert.
Quins had scrum half Alasdair Maspero yellow-carded before Brixham lock Adam Thomas was carried off with a knee injury.
Home flanker Ramen Farahani was sin-binned before Brixham were awarded a penalty try, Lovell converting.
Brixham hooker Gareth Williams also saw yellow, but tries from centre centre Tom McLean and right wing Harry Davies made it 24-0.
Lock Luke Brown was driven over for Quins before the break, with full back Will Hilton converting from the touchline.
Quins raised their game in the second half and went close through wing Huw Jones, who got over the line, but could not ground the ball.
They gained hope when No 8 Seisoni Tupou handed off five defenders to score a sensational solo try.
The hosts pressed hard, but could not add to their tally and Brixham left wing Matt Crosscombe notched on 70 minutes.
