Oxford United close to first new signing

Oxford United are believed to be closing in on their first signing of the summer.

The target has yet to agree terms, but I understand a move could be completed as early as today.

U’s boss Chris Wilder is only expecting to make minor changes to his squad, with a left-winger, and right-back top of his list.

A replacement in central midfield for Asa Hall, who rejected a new contract to join Shrewsbury Town, is also needed.

United are also yet to hear a definitive answer from Adam Chapman after offering the midfielder a deal.

NA its "RIGG" winger from port vale scored 10 times playing as wide man it"s the first summer signing of the summer and chapman is stalling on signing.
