PAUL Warne has threatened to make changes for Rotherham United’s trip to Oxford United.

The Millers were level heading into the final five minutes at AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday, but ended up losing 3-1.

While Rotherham are flying high in the Sky Bet League One table, they have struggled on the road, losing five of their seven games.

And Warne (pictured) made it clear goalscorer Joe Newell was the only player who was certain of his place against the U’s.

He told the Sheffield Star: “Joe is the only one I can guarantee will definitely play.

“Everyone else, we will have a really good look at.

“There were a couple of jaded bodies out there which we will definitely have to think about changing.”

The game sees Wes Thomas face one of his former sides.

Warne was a coach when the striker scored five goals in eight starts to help fire Rotherham into the Championship in 2014.

He said: “Wes was great for us in the promotion season.

“I was sorry he didn’t stay, because I think he would have been good for us in the Championship.

“He was a really hard worker in training and a great lad.”
