Highly-rated teenager Jake Forster-Caskey has joined Oxford United on loan until January.
As reported in yesterday’s Oxford Mail, the 18-year-old from Brighton & Hove Albion turned down an offer from Burton Albion to join Chris Wilder’s side.
He said: “I am going to give it my all and hopefully add to the attacking midfield options.
“I did have a couple of options, but having spoken to the manager I am sure I made the right choice.
“Oxford have a reputation for playing decent football and play in the same style and the same formation as Brighton usually so it will all help with my education.”
Forster-Caskey will meet his new teammates for the first time at training on Monday.
