OXFORD United’s Checkatrade Trophy quarter-final with Bradford City is on after the Kassam Stadium pitch passed an inspection.
Freezing temperatures over the last few days had raised doubts about the playing surface, despite the use of covers.
But the surface was deemed as playable this afternoon, so the game is due to go ahead as planned tomorrow night.
A further inspection will be held at 9.30am tomorrow as a precaution.
The winners will progress to the semi-finals next month, one win from the final at Wembley.
United won the Sky Bet League One game between the sides 1-0 in October, thanks to Chris Maguire’s stoppage-time free-kick.
