ALEX MacDonald, Dan Crowley and Ryan Taylor all found the net as Oxford United's development side won 3-2 at Reading this afternoon.
The visitors were twice pegged back before the break, but Taylor struck in the second half to win the game.
Phil Edwards, Rob Hall and Wes Thomas were among the other senior players handed a chance to push their claims for inclusion in Saturday's Sky Bet League One clash with Coventry City.
MacDonald opened the scoring when he cut inside and fired into the top corner.
The Royals levelled, but the visitors quickly restored their advantage through Crowley's penalty after Hall's shot struck a hand in the area.
A second Reading goal sent the sides into the interval level at 2-2.
Taylor settled the game with a precise finish after the break.
Oxford Utd: Stevens, Edwards, Cundy, Welch-Hayes, Giles (Hawtin), Hall (Jeacock), Ruffels (Ashby), MacDonald (Graham), Crowley, Taylor, Thomas (J Roberts).
