Letter to the editor: I am genuinely upset Southeastern is going to be part of my life for another five years (Train Not Stopping, News Shopper, April 3).
Why is there not more outrage at this? It is demoralising to stand every morning for a train which, even if on time, is crowded.
I was there a month or so ago when Boris Johnson was getting grilled at Lewisham Town Hall and someone mentioned Southeastern. Of course, he muttered some piffle about it, but I remember Caroline Pidgeon saying it was the company she gets the most complaints about.
Easter was ridiculous. I half expected the smaller stations to be closed but not such a big station as Lewisham.
And the other day I thought the machine must have been broken when it tried to charge me £4.50 just to get to Deptford Bridge, but apparently not.
Somehow all the rules change when it comes to London transport.
