ALchester's Liz Grolimund was third senior lady home in the White Horse Half Marathon at Grove on Sunday, crossing the line in 86mins 35secs.
Vet 40 Shaun O’Gorman was the first Alchester athlete home as he came 53rd in 85.54, while Sarah Ren-dell was sixth in 88.17.
l BICESTER AC’s Edward Burgess won three titles at Radley AC’s open meeting at Tilsley Park, Abingdon.
He took the under 17 100m title in 12.24, the 100m hurdles crown (13.73) and wrapped up his treble haul in the 200m (24.74).
Jonah Sweeney stormed to victory in the 400m hurdles in 1min 4.59secs.
Connor Wilce won the under 15 triple jump title with a leap of 9.39m seeing off Cheltenham & County’s Jack Roberts (9.36) and his brother Zak Wilce (8.65) who was third.
Mark Smith was runner-up in both the 400m (57.32) and the long jump (4.96m).
OTHER RESULTS Male Under 15 - long jump: 8 C Wilce 4.39, 13 Z Wilce 3.78; 100m: 12 C Wilce 14.61, 15 Z Wilce 15.19.
Female Under 17 - 100m: 10 E Benfield 14.66; 200m: 7 E Benfield 30.64.
Meanwhile, Lucas Davies and Sophie Wheeler were voted the best performers at Bicester AC’s winter aw-ards evening.
Davies finished down the field in his first Oxon League Cross Country, but showed steady improvement to end the season in fifth place at Wittenham.
Wheeler became the first Bicester athlete to win a cross-county championship for many years.
She also led the under girls’ series in the Oxford Mail Cross Country League going into the last event, but injury ended her hopes.
Best girl performer was Amy Gould, who ended the season with a top-ten finish in the under 11 girls’ event.
The best boy cross country performer was Fergus Jones, who was consistently Bicester’s star performer in the under 11 events ending in a podium finish at Wit-tenham.
