THREE young Bicester AC competitors claimed victories in the Radley Open at Tilsley Park, Abingdon.

Holly Offord won the girls under 13 long jump with a personal best leap of 3.72m. She was also second in the 70m hurdles in 14.73secs.

In the same age group, Charlotte Kavanagh triumphed in the girls shot put with a pb throw of 5.88m.

Amber Parker achieved national graded performances in all three of her events.

She won the girls under 15 shot with 8.18m and came second in both the hammer (28.96m) and discus (21.39m).

Kyle Rayson finished fifth in the under 11 boys quad competition, coming joint fastest in the 75m with 11.7secs.

BEN West was a runaway winner of the top honour at Bicester’s awards night.

West, who finished in the top ten in three national championships won the club’s award as best junior male cross-country performer.

The equivalent girls award went to Amelia Cox.

Other cross county performance awards went to Lucy McGrath (most improved) and Owen Stocker (best under 11).

It was revealed during the evening that Max Nicolle, who enjoyed a fine season in the Chiltern and Oxford Mail Cross County Leagues, is to join the Aylesbury club.
