A STRONG performance in the relays helped Bicester Blue Fins to third place in the second round of the Chiltern League development gala at Hemel Hempstead.
Seven of the 12 victories achieved by Blue Fins’ squad of 33 youngsters came in the team events.
Pride of place was their triumph in the men’s open 50m medley, while the boys under 13s and girls under 15s both completed the 25m medley and freestyle double.
Their other relay successes came in the boys under 11 and under 15 freestyle.
Individual wins came from Oliver Gore (men’s open 10m breaststroke), William Jones (boys under 13 50m breaststroke), Freddie Kemp (boys under 13 50m freestyle), Olivia Sheldrake (girls under 13 50m butterfly) and Maddie Sollis (girls under 11 50m freestyle).
Blue Fins totalled 176 points, finishing just behind Leighton Buzzard and Bourne End.
The final round will take place on Saturday, April 21.
