BICESTER ladies returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory at Sonning 3rd in Division 1 of the Trysports Three Counties League.
The leaders recovered from their defeat to Maidenhead the previous week to remain three points clear of second-placed Marlow 3rd.
Against Sonning, Bicester dominated the early exchanges, with Beth Forrest going close.
They took the lead when Beatrice Gunn deflected home a Faye Bennett shot from a penalty corner.
Alison Haik then fired home Bicester’s second before half-time.
Top-scorer Nicolene Willers made it 3-0, before Sonning reduced the arrears, but it was merely a consolation.
In Division 2, bottom side Bicester 2nd drew 1-1 at Wychwood.
The visitors took the lead when Cath Hawkes scored, but the hosts equalised to earn a point.
Bicester 3rd drew 1-1 with third-placed Wallingford 4th in Division 5.
