BRITISH Rail edged closer to the winning line in the Oxford & District League Division 1 title race with an 8-2 at home to Forum B.
Maximums from Richard Taylor and Ian Mead did the business for Rail, while Fraser Harris beat Greg Donovan to give the visitors their only singles success.
Vikings A recorded their first win of the season, defeating Forum C 8-2 thanks to trebles from Simon Cox and Thomas Bowden
Kiarash Shaddel scored two maxims as Forum E beat Forum F 8-2 and close rivals Vikings C to extend their lead in Division 2.
Tak-Wa Yau led the way with a treble as Forum H beat their nearest rivals Holton C 8-2 to cement their position at the top of Division 3.
A Terry Ruane maximum allowed two-man Forum I to hold Holton A to a draw.
