BICESTER Blue Fins’ youngsters impressed when bidding to qualify for next year’s Oxfordshire & North Buckinghamshire County Championships.

Competing at the City of Bristol SC’s short course early bird meet at Hengrove Leisure Centre, the club posted 26 county considered times.

Three were good enough for direct acceptance, while 64 out of the 90 swimmers recorded personal bests.

Ben Innes, 16, set six pbs and eight county considered marks.

Freddie Kemp, 10, set five bests, including 14 seconds off his 200m freestyle.

Rachel Lawrence, 13, matched that and also posted four county considered times.

Charlotte Kemp, 12, and Ethan Cavil, 15, bagged four bests.

Ryan MacKenzie, 14, secured two new times, one county considered and two accepted for the 100m and 200m freestyle.

Daniel Pilgrim, 15, celebrated three bests and a county considered mark with a sub one-minute 100m freestyle.

Freddie Whybrow, 16, set three new times, two county considered and one accepted in the 400m freestyle.
