AMY Gould posted Bicester AC & Witney’s only victory when they finished sixth of seven teams in the latest round of the UK Development League match held at Loughborough.

Gould lowered the Bicester club record in the under 17 girls 1,500 metre steeplechase with a winning time of 6mins 20.26secs.

She also recorded a personal best in the hammer (19.22m), while clubmate Holly Hunter also threw over 19 metres in the B event Fortunes were reversed in the javelin where Hunter came third in the A event (21.31m), with Gould runner-up in the B string (10.40m).

l David Kuester, of Bicester AC and Oxford City Veterans, claimed silver and bronze medals in the British Masters Track & Field Championships at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham.

Competing in the men’s 70 age group, he took silver in the weight (heavy hammer) and bronze in the hammer.
