DAVE Sutcliffe hit four goals as Bicester beat South Berkshire 2nd 5-2 to go second in the table.

Will Hartley was also on target in the Middlesex, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1 clash.

Bicester took the lead inside 30 seconds, when Jonny Reid won the ball off the centre back.

He played in Sutcliffe, who rounded the keeper and won a penalty flick after a defender slid in front of the goal.

Sutcliffe stepped up and slotted the ball into the bottom corner.

He scored his second a few minutes later, coolly finishing after Andy Brown and Reid combined in the D.

Sutcliffe made it 3-0 late in the first half after good play from Ben Kirk and Hartley.

South Berkshire replied just before the break.

The visitors reclaimed their three-goal cushion at the start of the second half, after Reid squared for Sutcliffe, who slotted the ball home on his reverse stick.

A period of pressure from the hosts was rewarded, when they sneaked the ball over the line despite the best efforts of goalkeeper Nath Elliott.

Hartley then scored Bicester’s fifth on the rebound.
