BEN Kirk scored twice as Bicester began the second half of the season with a 3-2 home win over OMT 2nd in the South League.
But they had to hold on in the final moments of the Middlesex, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1 clash after letting slip a 3-0 lead.
Dave Sutcliffe opened the scoring after 20 minutes, turning in a powerful cross from Jordan Chester.
Kirk doubled Bicester’s lead by starting and finishing a fine move from his own half, which saw him play a one-two with Sutcliffe before firing into the net.
He then made it 3-0 after good play from Stu Lock down the right.
The visitors pulled a goal back before the break and set up a tense finish by scoring again in the second half, but Bicester held on.
Hayley Collier hit a hat-trick as Bicester Ladies 4th comprehensively beat Abingdon 2nd 7-0 in Division 6 of the Trysports Three Counties League.
After missing a couple of early chances, Collier broke the deadlock, before Tomoka Moore, Emma Ponfield and Emma Graham made it 4-0 at half-time.
After the break, a sequence of short-corners and attacking play led to Collier completing her treble and Moore adding her second.
