LOTTIE Wynne-Jones once again stole the show with another medal haul in Crawley.

The 12-year-old took home seven medals from the ASA South East region 14 and under championships.

It ended what had been a successful competition for Bicester Blue Fins, who won ten golds, four silver and three bronze across the various regional events.

Wynne-Jones, who shone throughout with 11 medals overall, continued her fine form by smashing club records.

She also achieved personal bests on route to winning gold in the 13-year-old category 200m freestyle (2mins 10.79secs), 400m individual medley (5.16.09) and 200m individual medley (2.27.67).

Wynne-Jones also came first in the 50m butterfly, with a time of 29.34.

Her medal haul did not stop there though as she just missed out on gold to finish second in the 50m backstroke, setting a regional record of 31.8 in the heats.

A club record and personal best of 1.01.77 then followed in the 100m freestyle as she took bronze.

Wynne-Jones’s achievements in Crawley took her own medal haul for the ASA Regionals to eight golds, one silver and two bronze.

But she was not the only Bicester swimmer in action.

Chris Littleton set a personal best and club record of 1.14.86 in the 100m backstroke.

He also achieved pbs in the 100m and 200m butterfly events, as well as the 200m backstroke.

In the 14-year-old category, Ryan McKenzie broke the club age record for his 50m freestyle swim with a pb of 28.72.

His clubmate Harry Wynne-Jones clocked a pb in the 11-12 year 100m backstroke and set a club record of 1.21.62 in the 100m butterfly.

In the girls event, Tia Falkner swam a gutsy 11-12 year 50m butterfly heat, setting a pb of 33.51, to miss out on the final by just 0.2secs.

Bicester’s Maddy Powell also fought hard in her races and achieved pbs in the 200m and 400m individual medleys.

Alexander Pryce and Rachel Lawrence also participated in the championships.
