LOTTIE Wynne-Jones gave another example of her outstanding potential with a stunning four gold medals at the South East Region 14 & Under Championships in Crawley.

The 12-year-old member of Bicester Blue Fins also claimed bronze in the 13 age group.

After winning her heat inthe age 13 200m butterfly with a club record of 2mins 25.94secs, Wynne-Jones went on to dominate the final, taking victory.

The same pattern followed for the 100m butterfly, which she won with a very fast time of 1.06.76.

Wynne-Jones was also the one to beat in the age 13 200m backstroke.

She broke the regional record in the heats and then again in the final, claiming gold in 2.25.32.

She followed that with third in the 100m backstroke.

Two Bicester Blue Fins girls qualified for the 400m freestyle, with Wynne-Jones once again claiming victory.

Her teammate, Maddie Powell, came a respectable 11th place with a personal best.

Also swimming for Blue Fins and setting personal bests of their own were Tia Falkner, Christopher Littleton, Harry Wynne-Jones and Rachel Lawrence.

Head coach Craig Oliver said: “It was fantastic to have such a great team of under 14s performing at the championships, especially seeing our younger swimmers, coached mainly by Neil Blunstone, breaking into the regional scene with some strong swims.”
