KIERAN Bird continued his fine form by winning three medals at the 49th Geneva International Challenge.

The Bicester Blue Fin, who was representing the ASA South East Region, won gold in the 200m butterfly, as well as bronze in the 100m butterfly and 200m freestyle.

Bird contributed to a 26-medal haul from the team, which also included his Bicester clubmate Thomas Thornley.

Meanwhile, a host of Blue Fin swimmers got their first taste of competition at the Witney & District Development Gala, finishing sixth overall.

Among the strong Bicester performers was nine-year-old Olivia Jordan, who finished second in the girls 50m freestyle.

In the ten-year-old equivalent, Isis Ashley-Sparks took third.

The boys nine-year-old relay team continued the strong performances as Carson Walbert, Frankie Oliver, Freddie Kemp and William Wright claimed third in the 4x25m freestyle relay.

In the 50m butterfly, Charlotte Kemp (age 11) and Isla Bohannon (nine) finished third in their respective age groups.

Nate Bishop emulated that achievement in the boys under 11 event.

In the same age group, Josh Lorimer (50m breaststroke) and Tommy Wright (50m backstroke) also took third place.

Jordan, Frankie Oliver, Bohannon and Carson Walbert formed a great team to finish in the top three in the mixed 8/9-year-old 25m breaststroke relay.

And in the mixed 11-year-old equivalent, Charlotte McKinley, Josh Best, Hannah Roe and Bishop also earned a third place position in the 25x4 butterfly relay.
