BEN West made an outstanding debut for Bicester AC in round two of the Chiltern Cross Country League in Milton Keynes.

West was the first Oxfordshire runner to finish in the under 15 boys’ race, coming 22nd in a 115-strong field in a time of 16mins 26secs, while Tom Couzens was placed 89th.

West also won the under 15 Division 2 race, beating 23 other athletes in the process.

Millie Couzens finished an excellent 23rd out of 114 runners in the under 13 girls’ race, also finishing fourth in the Division 2 race, while Amelia Cox was 57th.

In the under 13 boys’ race, Samuel Worfolk finished 75th out of 113 and Max Nicole finished 28th, adding a fourth-placed finish in the Division 2 race.

Georgia Usher claimed a 36th-place finish in her first contest of the season in the under 11 girls’ race, with Imo- gen Cox not far behind in 51st.

Amy Gould finished 43rd and Molly Acton 65th in the under 15 girls’ race, with Gould coming home ninth of the 26 finishers in the Division 2 race.

In the under 11 boys’ race, Harry Wynne Jones was 48th.
