TWYFORD trainer Tim Jarvis celebrated his first double when Italian Beauty and Azzir scored at Epsom.

Patrick O’Donnell got Italian Beauty (7-1) home by a nose from Inke in a thrilling finish to an extended mile handicap.

It was a first winner at the track for O’Donnell, although it came at a cost, as he picked up a two-day suspension (September 24 and 25) for excessive use of the whip.

Azzir (9-2) completed Jarvis’s brace when picking off Strait Of Magellan inside the final few yards of a mile-and-a-quarter handicap to prevail by a neck under Jordan Vaughan.

Jarvis said: “That was my first double and 11th winner of the year.

“I had just given him the time off as I didn’t want to run him on firm ground.

“I wanted good ground and that was perfect.”
