BOWLS: Bicester facing the drop after West Witney defeat
Bicester have almost certainly been condemned to relegation from Division 1 after they went down to a 5-1 defeat against fellow strugglers West Witney in the Oxfordshire League, sponsored by Bridle Insurance.
A victory would have given the north Oxfordshire hosts, who were only promoted last season, a hope of escaping the drop, but it all went wrong against the west Oxfordshire side.
RESULT
Bicester 64 (1) West Witney 87(5) (Bicester skips first): A Hall 15, J Clacey 23; P Hooley 13, K Alder 26; E Sheffield 20, T Prew 12; K Taylor 16, H Williams 26.
