Bicester’s bad start to the season continued as they stayed rooted to the bottom of the Division 1 table following a narrow 4-2 defeat at home to City & County A in the Oxfordshire League, sponsored by Bridle Insurance.
Three of the rinks could have gone either way, with two ultimately being won by hosts Bicester in the last few ends.
However, Chris Earl, for City and County, had already won his rink by ten shots.
That meant Kevin Taylor and Allan Halls’ efforts for Bicester failed to stop the visitors going home with most of the points.
The result saw Bicester slip five points adrift at the foot of the table.
