Bicester's Evie Colquhoun and Olivia Webb, both aged ten, had reason to celebrate after striking bronze at a national competition at the Peterborough Arena in Cambridgeshire.

Representing the South region, the Oxfordshire duo competed in the National Development Plan (NDP) regional teams final, against nine other teams from all over the country.

Watched by a huge crowd, the finals saw the competitors tackle the dynamic and exciting disciplines of trampoline, double mini-trampoline and tumbling.

Trampoline gymnasts link a series of sky high moves, twisting and somersaulting in the air aiming to pick up as few technical and execution deductions as are possible from their final scorecard.

Webb competed in the level 3 women’s 11-12 years age group category, where she produced two brilliantly-executed and stylish routines to land an individual bronze medal.

Colquhoun showed a combination of elegance, poise and focus in a tough competitive field and produced two spectacular sky-high routines.

Her display earned her an impressive individual bronze in the Level 4 women’s 11-12 age group.

Colquhoun and Webb produced personal best scores in the event which saw them qualify for next month’s national finals which take place in Telford, Shropshire.
