Alchester AC’s Richard Gould finished tenth at the second race of the Mota-vation series in Bletchingdon near Bicester, writes Jack Johnson.

Gould crossed the line in 23mins 50secs, a minute-and-a-half behind the event winner David Bruce, from Oxford City AC.

The 43-year-old was the sixth vet 40 runner home and Alchester’s standout performer on the night.

James Pither was next home in 28th, while Gary Warland was 37th.

Sarah Rendell was the fifth woman and third vet 35 to finish in 26.49.

She was closely followed by club mate Sam Usher in 27.08.

Warland and Usher were also in action at Saturday’s Otmoor Challenge, finishing 17th and 19th respectively.

Usher was the second woman to finish in 1hr 29mins 17secs.
