Bob Berry and Karen Amin had reason to celebrate after winning their respective titles at the Bicester club’s pairs tournament.
By a system of scoring and handicapping, individuals, rather than pairs, were given their personal score.
Every Friday, until August, the club will be holding taster sessions from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Meanwhile, the county trials, for players are being held at Henry Box School near Witney on June 13-14.
They are not suitable for beginners, with the only exception for the younger age groups (U7/ U9) who will be assessed on their aptitude and coordination.
The cost is £5.
