BOWLS: Basements boys slip up as Carterton take charge
Bicester stayed bottom of Division 1 following a 4-2 home defeat by Carterton in of the Oxfordshire Bowls League, sponsored by Bridle Insurance.
The home side won on two rinks, with one being that of Kevin Taylor who beat Paul Sharman.
Alan Hall beat Brandon Sparkes 22-15 in the home side’s other success.

Bicester 65 (2), Carterton 85 (4) (Bicester rinks first): P Hooley 15, D Clanfield 22; K Taylor 17, P Sharman 16; E Sheffield 11, G Walker 28; A Hall 22, B Sparkes 15.
