Alchester AC’s Richard Gould was the first Bicester area man to cross the finish line in Sunday’s 35th Virgin Money London Marathon.
The vet 40 runner came home 314th in a time of 2hrs 40mins 44secs.
In the race, Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge won in 2.04.42.
Bicester’s Ben Groves took gold in the under 11 boys competition at the Oxford City AC Quads at Horspath.
Groves smashed two of his previous bests by running the 75m in 11.64secs, before achieving 3.51m in the long jump.
In the girls, Josephine Parker struck gold in the long jump, while Katie Groves, in her first competition, achieved personal bests in the 75m, 600m and vortex disciplines.
