Bletchingdon's Emma Leech claimed victory in the Petplan Equine Medium Open Championship at Moreton Morell in Warwickshire.
After qualifying as a wildcard, Leech, riding Warrior II, impressed the judges to earn a winning score of 69.14.
It is a special couple of weeks for Leech who is planning her wedding.
She admitted to being nervous ahead of the championships.
“We had a good, steady clear round,” said Leech.
“Usually, he (Warrior II) can be wild, but I think he felt that I really needed him, I was really nervous.
“He has recently been ill and had a virus for five weeks.
“Since his all-clear, we’ve been very slowly been bringing him back into work, staying away from the arena at home – in case of any dust.”
