Lottie Wynne-Jones won five gold medals as Bicester Blue Fins finished third in the ASA Oxfordshire & North Buckinghamshire County Swimming Championships in Aylesbury.

The 12-year-old set a UK record for a girl in her age group as she took victory in the 100m butterfly and claimed a county best meet time in winning the 100m backstroke.

She also won the 200m freestyle, 200m butterfly and 100m individual medley, as well as finishing second in 50m freestyle and 200m breaststroke.

Oliver Inness struck gold in the 200m backstroke and 50m butterfly in the age 14 category.

He was runner-up in the 100m freestyle and 200m individual medley.

Tom Thornley is the new county junior champion in the age 16 50m and 200m backstroke, with his swim in the 200m event lifting his ranking to second in the country.

He also won silver in the 50m butterfly, 100m freestyle and the 200m individual medley, to finish overall runner-up across all age categories.

Kieran Bird, won the age 16 100m breaststroke and was crowned county junior champion in 200m individual medley.

Bird also won a silver medal in the 200m backstroke.

Tabitha Watkins set a county best meet time after winning the age 13 50m breaststroke.

Christopher Littleton won gold in the age 12 50m butterfly as did William Whitley in the age 14 100m breaststroke event.

Thornley, Bird, Whitley and Josh Rowland combined to land the gold medal in the boys’ 16 and under 4x100m individual medley.

The trio were then joined by Callum Laird in the 4x50m freestyle relay
