Bicester Blue Fins claimed second place at the third and final gala of the National Arena Premier League at Worcester to finish the season in eighth place in their first season in the top flight.

There was victory in both the 4x50m medley and freestyle events for the girls’ age 11 and under relay team, consisting of Lottie Wynne-Jones, Maddy Powell, Alexandra Pluckrose and Eveena Shah.

The boys’ age 15 and under relay team of Tom Thornley, Kieran Bird, Callum Laird and Josh Rowland enjoyed similar success with victory in the 4x50m medley and freestyle.

Lottie Wynne-Jones, 11, won the 50m butterfly by two clear seconds, as well as setting a new club age group record time of 33.28secs to take victory in the 50m backstroke.

Wynne-Jones also finished second in the age 13 and under 100m butterfly.

Ellie Falkner equalled the club’s record of 1min on her way to victory in the women’s open 100m freestyle event.

She also finished second in the girls’ 15 and under 100m butterfly and freestyle.

Tom Thornley won the boys’ 15 and under 100m freestyle and the 100m backstroke by a three-second margin.

Oliver Inness won the 13-year-old 100m backstroke by over four-and-a-half seconds and 100m butterfly title.

Kieran Bird triumphed in the boys’ age 15 and under 100m butterfly by over four seconds and finishing second in the open age 100m butterfly.

There were also second-places for the boys’ 13 and under relay team in 4x50m medley and freestyle.
