Ian Hunter secured an Oxf-ordshire vet 40 bronze medal at the Milton Park Abingdon Marathon on Sunday.

Hunter (Alchester) finished 26th overall in a time of 2hrs 52mins 12secs.

Meanwhile, Alchester’s Je-nny McBain was the first lady home at the Buckingham 10K.

McBain completed the course in 39mins 2secs to come in seventh, while clubmate Shaun O’Gorman (38.23) was sixth.

Meanwhile, former Bicester AC member and Great Britain International Freddie Curtis was guest of honour at his old club’s presentation night.

Holly Griffiths was the top under 13 track performer for breaking a long standing rec-ord in the 800m in the UK Development League match at Burton with 2mins 33.2secs.

Amelia Cox won the under 11 accolade for setting a new mark in the vortex throw of 25.05m.

Millie Couzens ran 11.48 secs over 75m, clocked 1mins 57.8secs in the 600m and leap-ed 3.98m in the long jump to take the under 11 athlete title.

Ellis Griffiths Brown set a club record of 11.24secs in the 55m hurdles to become under 11 boy track athlete.

Jess Stowell also set a club mark in the under 15 girls’ hammer (14.69m) for the club athlete award.
