Bicester's David Kuester won the vet 70 men’s gold medal in the British Masters Weight (Throws) Pentathlon Championships.
Kuester won it with 3,150 points at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.
He won the heavy hammer (13.14m), javelin (28.39), discus (26.91) and shot put (9.55), as well as finishing second in the hammer (32.08).
Alchester’s Jon Burgess starred at the Cotswold Classic in Witney.
Burgess won the open and Oxfordshire vet 60 titles at the ten-mile road race and broke the club’s age group record.
He finished 36th overall, completing the hilly course in 1hr 6mins 9secs.
Clubmate Nigel Lambert took the Oxon vet 70 honours in 1.35.36.
Alchester also took county men’s team silver thanks to Shaun O’Gorman (1.04.55), Andrew Stickley (1.05.26), Burgess and Gary Warland (1.06.16).
Samantha Usher (1.09.00) won Oxon vet 35 ladies’ bronze and led Alchester to third in the team contest alongside Emilie Fidler (1.12.22) and Olivia Underhill (1.19.52).
