Bicester Ladies kicked off their Trysports Premier League 1 campaign in style with a 3-0 victory against Wokingham Ladies.
The home side, with new captain Jo Underhill at the helm, took the lead on 20 minutes when Ella Weston hit a fabulous strike from the top of the D, through a crowd of players into the corner of the net.
Bicester had to resist some concerted pressure at the start of the second half, with keeper Jo Underhill producing some wonderful reflex saves.
The hosts then upped their game and doubled their lead when Ali McGregor deflected in the rebound after some great play from Gina Girvan and Kelly Holt.
Player-of-the match, Ella Weston, put the result beyond doubt with a super strike to seal a well-deserved win.
Bicester Ladies will be running four teams this season and are still looking to recruit more players.
