Four Bicester athletes earned top marks in the Sandra Luke Memorial 5 Star Competition at Horspath.

Holly Griffiths-Brown and Amy Gould secured five stars in the under 13 girls’ event, as did Amelia Cox (under 11 girls) and Harvey Attrill (under 14 boys).

Athletes gain stars for reaching set levels across three different disciplines.

Griffiths-Brown’ recorded 29.25secs in the 200m, 4.11m in the long jump and clocked 2mins 41.21secs in the 800m.

Gould’s efforts were 33.08 (200m), 1.24m (high jump) and 2.43.61 (800m).

Attrill leapt 4.51m for the top long jump in his category, recorded 28.86 for the 200m and 14.24 for 100m.

Cox clocked 12.05 for the 55m hurdles, 3.11.47 for the 800m and leapt 3.34m in the long jump.

Bicester’s Georgia Usher recorded 3.12.07 in the 800m en route to four stars in the under 10 girls’ event.

Meanwhile, David Kuester won five gold medals on his vet 70 debut in the combined Surrey and Sussex Masters and Veterans AC Championships at Ewell.

The Bicester throws specialist won the 4kg hammer (34.85m), 4kg shot put (9.95), 1kg discus (29.90), 500g javelin (30.67) and 7.26kg heavy hammer (14.27).
