Tom Couzens and Jake Cherry led the way for Bicester athletes at the Radley Open.

Couzens won the under 13 boys’ long jump in 4.13m and was also second in the 800m with a time of 2mins 37.25secs and the high jump (1.30).

Cherry triumphed in the under 15 boys’ javelin with a throw of 32.97m.

Holly Griffiths-Brown was second in the under 13 girls’ 100m (15.10) and 800m (2.40.24) and third in the 200m (30.11).

Lauren Garside was runner-up in the long jump (3.88).

Another under 13 girl, Amy Gould, finished third in the 1,500m with 5.36.81.

Mille Couzens was second in the under 11 quadkids event.

She recorded personal bests in the 75m (11.9), 600m (2.06) and long jump (3.53).

l Sophie Wheeler was named Bicester’s best girl performer at their awards night.

Wheeler was rewarded for winning the Oxford Mail Cross Country League’s under 13 girls’ title.

Under 15 athlete Tom Gould won the best boy performer prize.

Georgina Usher earned the best performance for an under 11 title, while Jennie Proctor won the most improved prize.

Owen and Amelia Cox were boy and girl club members of the year.
