Bicester athletes won three out of thee four junior races held alongside the Andy Reading 10K at Chesterton.

Tom Gould took the boys’ honours over 3km, beating clubmate Tom Couzens to the tape.

Gould’s sister Amy was the girls’ 3km champion, leading home Molly Acton, another Bicester athlete.

Thomas Kavanagh was the home club’s other winner, clinching the boy’s 1km title, with clubmate Freddie Taylor third.

Lucy Rose (Wycombe) held off Bicester’s Millie Couzens in the girls’ 1km race.

Bure Park won the primary schools’ competition.

l DAVID Kuester ended his year with victory in the Midlands (British) Masters Throwers Group (MMTG) Christmas Throwers Pentathlon at Moorways Stadium, Derby.

The Bicester athlete finished first in the vet 65 catgeory with a total of 2,918 points, winning all five of the disciplines.

Kuester threw the hammer 28.26m, shot 8.85m, discus 28.48m, javelin 31.33m and heavyweight 12.50m.
